Cycling, Contorting And Climbing Extraordinaire

CirqueEloize_ID_MatChinoisHave you ever wanted to run away and join the circus? You would if it was as much fun as Cirque Eloize. Their latest show has been in London for two weeks already so it’s your last chance to see it (and beg to join the troupe).

iD is a high-energy mix of circus skills, from contortion to trampoline and hoop-spinning, and in each and every one, the performers excel. This is mixed in with break-dancing and an upbeat soundtrack to create a show that truly wows.

We don’t want to spoil it, but imagine a bicycle that can jump and climb steps, an acrobat who can leap and land in handstand on a man’s shoulders and seven balls being juggled and bounced against a pane of glass so fast that you can barely see what’s happening. These are just some of the delights of Cirque Eloize.

With six performances left, we highly recommend that you get down to the Peacock Theatre and see for yourself.

Cirque Eloize’s iD is at the Peacock Theatre until 19 October. Tickets priced £15-42 (under 16s half-price) are available from the Sadler’s Wells website. Londonist received a complimentary ticket to review this performance.
