Long Live Soho: Photo Portraits Of Its People And Places
Michelle Wade: Michelle started working at Maison Bertaux aged 17 and is now joint-owner with her sister Tania. Maison Bertaux was established by a Paris communard in 1871 and is renowned for its home-baked cakes, pastries and homely atmosphere.
New portraits of Soho characters photographed against the backdrop of their daily lives are on show at Ambika P3.
Jayne Taylor set out to create an affectionate visual tribute to Soho, through its people and places. Six of her charming portraits are shared here, you can see more at the show. Also included in the display are an iphone-image montage and a set of 25 polaroid portraits taken at this year’s Soho Village Fete.
Long Live Soho! by Jayne Taylor can be seen in stereoscopic 3D at University of Westminster MA Photographic Studies show, Ambika P3 (opposite Baker Street tube) until Monday 9 September.
