Our selection of London’s comedy gigs this week and to book ahead.

Andy Zaltzman

It isn't often you get to make requests at a comedy gig, but if you book to see excellent satirist Andy Zaltzman at the Soho Theatre you can email in with a subject for him to cover. Get a taste of his style in The Bugle podcast, in partnership with The Daily Show's summer sensation John Oliver. 9-21 September, 7.30pm, £10-£15.

Bourgeois & Maurice

These two have the power to inspire slavering love and devotion: indeed, one of Londonist's own number is under their filthy power. They're doing their most recent Edinburgh show, Sugartits, at the Soho Theatre for the next two weeks. It's cabaret, but not as you know it. 9-21 September, 9.30pm, £10-£20.

Lost Treasures of the Black Heart

Another one you can check out in advance on podcast, this time led by Josie Long. Every show at the Black Heart in Camden celebrates unsung heroes – from both guests and audience. Sometimes money off the entry price if you dress up (follow @josielong to find out the theme). 11 September, 8pm, £5.

Resofit

Stewart Lee's organised this fundraiser for Resonance FM at the Bloomsbury Theatre. Also on the bill are Shazia Mirza, Robert Newman, Lewis Schaffer, Rosie Wilby and Baconface (look, we all know this is Stewart Lee in a Canadian accent and bacon mask, right?). 11 September, 7.30pm, £20 / £17.50 + bf.

Adam Hills

It's always a pleasure to have Adam Hills back on The Last Leg, but even more of a pleasure to see him live. He's playing Hammersmith Apollo on 22 September (7.30pm, £22.50) or the slightly cheaper, slightly more intimate Blackheath Halls on 24 October (8pm, £16 / £14).
