Little Big Peace Event Returns to Streatham

The Little Big Peace Event

Streatham's annual Little Big Peace Event is back for a third year.

The third incarnation of this Streatham festival kicks off on 12 September, with events running through the week until 21 September, which we all know is International Peace Day. (You knew that, right?)

With the aim of inspiring people to be more peaceful in the community and in their private lives, the Little Big Peace Event includes talks, concerts, and a Relaxation Day at Gracefield Gardens Health Centre. It's an eclectic programme, offering taster yoga and meditation sessions; the chance to make your own pomander in a spice tent with the Streatham Women's Sewing Group; and a concert by London Contemporary Voices and St Leonard's Church Choir.

At the grand finale on 21 September, organisers are screening Peace One Day's inspiring documentary The Day After Peace, featuring Jude Law and Angelina Jolie, followed by a discussion and the chance to share a meal the White Lion stables' pop-up restaurant. There'll then be live music in The White Lion Bar.

The Little Big Peace Event runs at various Streatham venues from 12 to 21 September. Visit littlebigpeace.com to find out more. And here's a video taster of what happened last year:
