FILM: Again at the Wiener Library, visitors can watch a screening of The Children Who Cheated the Nazis, the story of how 10,000 children escaped the Holocaust on the Kindertransport. Free, prebook, 6.30pm
EAST END: Award-winning performers from east London, including comedian Andi Osho, talk about the representation of the East End at this free event at Stratford Circus. Free, prebook, 6.30pm
MURAL: Nazir Tanbouli’s indoor public mural, THE PAINT FACTORY at Fitzroy House in Dalston must be one of the biggest. It spans an enormous 4.5 floors. Hear Nazir discuss his work and enjoy live music, food and dancing. £3, prebook, 7pm

UMEÅ: The Swedish town of Umeå has been named the European Capital of Culture 2014. This largely unknown town stops off in London for two days from today, so find out why it won the title at this hub on Southbank. Free, just turn up, until 20 September
KING RICHARD III: Wallace Collection hosts a lecture, led by Curator of Arms and Armour Tobias Capwell and Bob Woosnam-Savage, Curator of European Edged Weapons at the Royal Armouries, about the recently discovered skeleton of King Richard III in Leicester. Free, just turn up, 1-2pm

GREAT POP: On 15 September 1963, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones performed at one of the most momentous concerts in pop history at the Royal Albert Hall, and that 'Great Pop Prom’ will be celebrated with a new exhibition featuring never-before-seen photographs of the concert, at the Royal Albert Hall.
