Help Build A Lego Gherkin

Head along to 30 St Mary Axe (the Gherkin) over the next few days and you can join in efforts to build a Lego version of the building around 4 metres tall. Bright Bricks, an organisation which uses Lego to help brands create a buzz, has turned its attentions to the shapely landmark, which is 10 years old this year.

We popped by at lunch and the project was only just getting started, hence we couldn't get a photo and had to cobble together this appalling effort from the few bricks hanging around Londonist Towers. A bit shit really. (Lego, if you're reading this, send us some more bricks so we can improve our editorial standards.)

Help, we ran out of bricks.

You can turn up any time between 10am and 4pm on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 August 2013, and get stuck in. To get an idea what the finished edifice might look like, here are some shots of another version in Lego Land.
