Young People! Enter The Roundhouse Poetry Slam

If you're aged between 16-25 and have a story to tell, test your lyrical athleticism and performance prowess in the Roundhouse Poetry Slam this summer.

The competition is open to anyone of eligible age — you don't have to have performed your poetry in public before. Successful entrants will go head-to-head in front of a live audience over two heats. The strongest, as judged by a panel of six top UK poets, will go through to the final on 28 August, which will also be live-streamed over the internet, and the champion decided.

To enter the Slam, submit two examples of your work and a completed enrolment form to: [email protected] by 22 July.

A little inspiration: here's the video of last year's winner, 18 year old Hibaq Osman. Warning: this one hits surprisingly hard — our eyes leaked at our desk.

The Roundhouse Poetry Slam runs on 14, 21 & 28 August.
