Ping! is back for 2013. More than 100 free table tennis tables have popped up across London for the fourth annual Ping! festival, running until the end of August. Go for a knock-up with your date and you can show off your stunning serve while getting those endorphin-filled competitive juices flowing. Spend Quality Time at the Roundhouse
Head to the Roundhouse from Thursday this week to impress your date with some reflections on the nature of time itself. Top artist Conrad Shawcross has suspended an 8m faceless clock light sculpture above the Roundhouse's impressive Main Space, flooding the space with light and shadow. If you time it right, you could also catch one of the complementary special events taking place alongside the sculpture, including dance and music performances. And if the weather's kind, you can always pop to Camden Beach for some Grease-style Summer Lovin' afterwards.

Combine amazing views with classic cult films in Ealing Broadway this week. The Rooftop Film Club's excellent 2013 programme includes David Bowie in Labyrinth, teen favourite The Goonies and cougar romance in The Graduate. Cinema-based dates have been kicking off relationships since our grandparents were courting; if you want to upgrade this tried-and-tested formula to summer 2013-style cinema, you've got to go al fresco.
