Video Celebrates 50ish Days To Go Until Olympic Park Reopens

The snappily named London Legacy Development Corporation has announced the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park reopens in 50 days’ time. In celebration, it's created a nice time-lapse video to show all the different work carried out on the park in the past few months, transforming it from an Olympic venue to its future state as No Ordinary Park.

Sure, it's just the north section of the park, but there's a chunky time-table of different events taking place that might well entice you to take the train over to Stratford again this summer. Diamond Geezer's got a good list of what's on when.

So, put a note in your diary for the big reveal, starting from 29 June. That's the date the tasty-sounding Summer Events Series (Kasabian and Bruce at Hard Rock Calling; Jay-Z and Justine at Wireless; Mumford & Sons at the Summer Stampede; and more) kicks off.

But wait. The more astute among you, like the ever-brilliant Ian Visits, will have spotted that this is actually 49 days away. And then there's the London Legacy Development Corporation website countdown clock, clearly stating the fun starts in 46 days' time.

If all this is a bit too confusing, why not just sit back and watch this strangely hypnotic video instead. And we'll see you over at the Park sometime in late June/early July.
