London Stand Up And Sketch Comedy: 2-8 June

Where to find funny this week

Sunday 2 June: Experience just how exhausting Phil Kay is to watch at Doggett and Ephgrave's Mostly Comedy in Leicester Square Theatre, plus Nish Kumar, Gerry Howell and sketches from That Pair (8.30pm, £10).

Monday 3 June: A failure? A noble failure! We loved Alternative Comedy Memorial Society's experimental and leftfield club night: tonight feel the force of Josie Long, Sara Pascoe, Alexis Dubus, Ben Target, Bridget Christie, John-Luke Roberts, Thom Tuck and more at Soho Theatre (8pm, £12.50).

Tuesday 4 June: Alexis Dubus's Gallic alter-ego Marcel Lucont (pictured) is at the Udderbelly. We can only recommend getting down there tout de suite (9pm, £12.50).

Wednesday 5 June: Be still our beating hearts! Both Adam Riches and Nick Mohammed are guests of The Pin at Leicester Square Theatre (8.30pm, £8). We don't want to denigrate Brian Gittins and Phil Wang but, like, you know, it's Adam Riches and Nick Mohammed.

Thursday 6 June: We still laugh like drains at Joel Veitch's Independent-Woman-by-Elbow-played-by-cats video. See him alongside David Trent, Chris Kendall, Flange Krammer, Matt Highton, Mawaan Rizwaan and Sanderson Jones at All Your Internet Are Belong To Us in Hackney (8pm, £5).

Friday 7 June: Fundraiser for the Women's Resource Centre features Lucy Porter, Sara Pascoe, Nat Luurtsema, Bridget Christie, Juliet Meyers, Tiffany Stevenson, Rachel Parris, Felicity Ward and Leanne Davis, all at the Bloomsbury Theatre (7.30pm, £25).

Saturday 8 June: Colin Hoult runs through new characters in preparation for Edinburgh at the Pleasance (8pm, £5).

Book ahead: Veteran Canadian comedian Baconface has a week run at the Soho Theatre from 10 June... oh, look, who are we kidding? It's Stewart Lee. OK? Stewart Lee (9.45pm, £7.50).
