Win Tickets To Le Long Weekend's Closing Gala

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Le Long Weekend.

Cigarette holders, beautiful people and brooding looks at the ready, a debut festival of new and classic French films is sauntering into London on Wednesday 8 May.

Le Long Weekend, organised by UK Jewish Film, is a celebration of France's famously robust film industry. There will be exclusive screenings of major new French releases ahead of their British cinema debuts, as well as Le Long Weekend bringing UK audiences little-known French cinematic gems that would not otherwise be seen here.

Highlights of this five-day spectacle fabuleux include Régis Roinsard's glamorous, retro rom-com Populaire (the trailer for which is included above) and Claude Miller's much anticipated Therese Desqueyroux, featuring Audrey Tatou, based on François Mauriac's eponymous book. Plus, keep your eyes peeled for a somewhat unexpected guest actor spot by Bob Geldof in the adapation of Justin Levy's novel Bad Girl, directed by Patrick Mille.

The mini festival culminates on 12 May in a closing Gala, which includes the UK premiere of Capital. This French cinematic fancy is a dramatic and contemporary spoof film set in the ruthless world of high finance, and was the winner of the Solidarity Award at the 2012 San Sebastian Film Festival. The exclusive screening will be followed by a Q&A session with its director, the Oscar-winning Costa-Gavras. Hourra!
