Ticket Alert: The National, Depeche Mode, The Stones And More

Here's our pick of gigs on sale this week. Tickets to all these will be available 9am Friday, except where stated.

Literate, moody and atmospheric, The National (pictured) are one of the most interesting bands to have achieved prominence in recent years. They revealed new material just this week, and have announced a date at Alexandra Palace on 13 November. Tickets £27.50 + bf, available from Saturday.

Depeche Mode's latest record, Delta Machine, has received generally positive reviews. The synth-pop pioneers have announced a show at The O2 on 19 November, in addition to their dates next month. If you Just Can't Get Enough (sorry),  tickets are £40 + bf.

Arizona rockers Jimmy Eat World are coming up fast on their 20th anniversary. With album number eight in the bag, they'll be playing Koko on 16 June, the day after they appear at Download Festival. Tickets £20 + bf.

However, a more intriguing proposition might be Bosnian Rainbows, a group formed from the wreckage of The Mars Volta, who split earlier this year. The new five-piece will play The 100 Club on 12 May. Tickets £12.50 + bf.

Finally, if you missed out on tickets to see The Rolling Stones last week, here's another chance for you. They've announced a second Hyde Park date, this time on 13 July. Tickets start at £95 and run to a faintly-ridiculous £299 (plus booking fee), but then who knows when you'll get the chance again?  Buy online here.

Also booking this week: Meltdown Festival, Status Quo, Gary Numan and The Duckworth Lewis Method.
