COMEDY: The free Angel Comedy Festival starts today and runs all week at the Camden Head in Angel. Acts include Abandoman, Daniel Simonsen, Arthur Smith, Jigsaw, Nathan Caton and Tony Law.
ST GEORGE: Dragon-and-maiden events at the Dragon Cafe (St George The Martyr, Borough) include a folk band, tea party, talks and a parade. Local shaman John Constable leads a tour round the area. Events throughout the day.
FOOD FESTIVAL: The Camberwell Food and Drink Festival continues this week. As well as food there will be free cooking demonstrations by local chefs, music, quizzes and face painting. Free, just turn up, until 27 April
BOOM!: It's the Queen's birthday. Well, it was actually yesterday, but the gun salutes are being held today. Head along to Green Park at noon (41 gun salute), or Tower of London for 1pm (62 gun salute).
SHORT PLAYS: Give It Some Room present an evening of short plays by some of our best loved playwrights, including Michael Frayn, Alan Ayckbourn, Fay Weldon and Neil LaBute. £12/£10, prebook, 7pm

Good Cause of the Day
The Honeypot Children's Charity looks out for "young carers who juggle school and growing up whilst performing a surrogate adult role at home". Basically, kids whose childhood is spent looking after an ill or drug-dependent relatives. As well as supporting such children, the charity also arranges for short breaks where they can make friends and share experiences. If you'd like to support this organisation, they're holding a charity skydive event on 23 June and a Three Peaks challenge on 21 July. Or you can simply donate here. @HoneypotCharity
