Wimbledon Art Studios, the largest single site art studios complex in London, is opening its doors to the public once more this May for the first of their twice-yearly Open Studio art shows.

Over 140 artists are exhibiting works that cover many creative disciplines including painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, photography, printmaking and furniture design. It truly is a showcase of both emerging and established talent on the UK art scene. As well as enjoying the varied exhibit, there is an exciting opportunity to interact with the artists in their own individual creative spaces and buy art directly from them.

Acclaimed British Portrait artist, Christian Furr - who in 1995 at the age of 28 became the youngest artist to have ever painted the Queen’s portrait - will officially open the Summer Open Studios Art Show on Thursday 16 May at 6.30pm.

Entry is free, so you can just turn up and enjoy the event regardless of whether your pleasure is browsing or buying.

Wimbledon Art Studios - Summer Open Studios Art Show is open 16-19 May and is free entry, all are welcome. Go to the Private View between 6-10pm on Thursday 16 May, doors open 2-10pm on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 May and 11am-6pm on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May. Find Wimbledon Art Studios at Riverside Yard, Riverside Road, Earlsfield SW17 0BB.
