Sugary Sailing: Try A Cake And Cocktails Canal Cruise

For a sweet-toothed, and decidedly more fun, twist on the traditional wine and cheese pairing, jump on a narrow boat, take your place at a candle-lit long table and unashamedly indulge five courses of cakes and complimenting cocktails. The sweet sailing comes courtesy of ambitious liqueur mixers Alchemist Dreams, working in collaboration with Drop Dead Bread, who provide the sweet treats.

Your vessel, the Lady A, will wind its way along the canal from Paddington, through the idyllic Little Venice until it reaches Camden Lock...where you’ll turn around and do it all again. Because if something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing twice.

They’ve even got the typical British weather covered, with onboard heaters, blankets and a clear canopy, should it be needed.

The event sets sail on 9 May and has proved so popular (read: it’s already sold out*, slowpokes) that they’ve added an extra date, on 10 May, with a handful of tickets still available.

Tickets for the Cake & Cocktails Cruise are £65 per head including five cakes, five drinks and a scenic cruise. Tickets are available from Ticketscript and subject to a booking fee.

*Except for one, we’re told. We are yet to confirm if the tickets are made of rice paper. If you happen to stick it in your mouth, let us know.
