London Stand Up And Sketch Comedy: 7-13 April

Where to find funny this week

Sunday 7 April: Magnificently camp and dry-witted, Joe Lycett had to add an extra show to his Soho Theatre run of Some Lycett Hot because the rest sold out. This is that show (7.15pm, £12.50 / £10).

Monday 8 April: 6 Music breakfast host Shaun Keaveny (pictured) has a show at the Pleasance Theatre, with comedy, music and chat from Kerry Godliman, Joe Lycett, Sarah Louise-Young and Tom Stade (7.30pm, £9).

Tuesday 9 April: Stereotypical Frenchman Marcel Lucont (the creation of Alexis Dubus) headlines We Love Comedy at The Pipeline, E1. Joining him are Ellie Taylor, Jim Campbell, Gary Tro and Dean Roberts (7.30pm, £4-£10).

Wednesday 10 April: McNeil and Pamphilon are putting on a fundraiser for the MS Trust at Camden's Black Heart. The line-up includes Late Night Gimp Fight, sketch group Clever Peter, Gemma Whelan-as-Chastity Butterworth and Jay Foreman (8pm, £10).

Thursday 11 April: Nat Luurtsema headlines the completely free Yeah Yeah Yeah at the Slaughtered Lamb, hosted by one of the Three Englishmen Nick Hall. Also catch sketch, character and stand-up from Beasts, Tom Hensby, Gareth Cooper, Mike Kenward and Elinor Keber (8pm, £0).

Friday 12 April: Richard Herring talks cock for two nights at the Bloomsbury Theatre in this update to his 2002 show (8pm, £15).

Saturday 13 April: Phil Nichol is probably doomed to be followed for the rest of his career by the song The Only Gay Eskimo, but that's because it's oh-shit-I'm-actually-going-to-die-now hilarious. We mention it to try and jog your memory; we very much doubt it will crop up in his Udderbelly show tonight (7.45pm, £15.50).

Book ahead: There are still tickets available to see Alan Davies trying out new material at the Pleasance on 27 April, for £6.
