London is a bustling city that can seem chaotic at times, it can almost be overwhelming with all the famous landmarks and things to see. But what if we stripped it back to the bare minimum, removed all the people and were just left with simple bold colours and our unique architecture. It would still be recognisable as our city but it's this different viewpoint that Paul Catherall has captured in his works.

Whether it's the Shard blending in with the grey clouds behind it, or the BT Tower surrounded by a yellow sky, these distinctive prints are both eye-catching and admirable for their minimalist aesthetic.

He's created works featuring well known landmarks such as the Oxo Tower, Tate Modern, Battersea Power Station and even the statue of the archer at East Finchley station. One of his works is currently on display in the Poster Art 150 exhibition at London Transport Museum but this will be a chance to see more of his works and perhaps purchase one.

Paul Catherall is on at Gallery@Oxo, Oxo Tower Wharf, South Bank from 1-19 May. Admission is free.
