Where Do You Get Away From It All?

Submit photos of your wild London escapes, and see them exhibited at London Transport Museum, to tie in with its Poster Art 150 exhibition.

The weather shows little sign of turning springy again but no matter, where are the wild and windy, secret sheltered, lush green places where you go to get away from it all?

Do you go striding across the Heath, hide in a community garden, slide down a muddy hill or ferret around in a forest? Will we find you feeding ducks in a park, cycling along a canal or open water swimming? Wherever you like to escape to, take a unique photograph there and submit it to our Away from it all challenge.

Since we first announced the project, we are pleased to report that two experts have agreed to help select images for special commendation:

Remember, photos must be taken in 2013, the year of the Tube 150 celebrations, but we don’t mind what you take them with. We highly recommend you visit the exhibition and get inspiration from the wonderful posters on display.

The challenge is open now and you have until 30 April to submit your photos. Fifty shortlisted images will go on show on the Museum’s Flickrwall, three photographers will be commended and one person will singled out for a special prize, which includes a trip in the driver’s cabin of a London Tube.

Join the Away From It All Flickrpool to find out how to enter and for full terms and conditions.
