Party throwers Bourne and Hollingsworth have commissioned the Silver Sturgeon, a luxury clipper decked out in retro-splendour, compete with a dancefloor, white tablecloths and two bars, for a leisurely cruise down the Thames. The merry journey takes place this Saturday — 23 March 2013.
Once boarded, there will be cocktails, champagne, and live music from bands and singers, performing in the styles of the decade. There’s even roulette and black jack tables, though we can't vouch that there’s a cash point on deck, so watch you don't get thrown overbroad for not clearing your tab.
Fox or faux furs and starched collars are strongly encouraged for your evening voyage, as indicated by the ‘‘At-Sea Formalwear’ dress code. The cruise departs at 9pm sharp, so it would be best to leave any notions of being fashionably late at home. With your skinny jeans. Bon Voyage!
