Things To Do In London This Weekend: 23-24 March

LAMBS: Convince yourself spring is here with a trip to Forty Hall Farm in Enfield where it's Lambing Weekend. Meet the new arrivals and other farm animals plus there's morris dancing, sheep shearing and lots of good food. Entry £3 adults, £2 children, open 11am-4pm

CHOCS AWAY: The Chocolate Festival is back at the Southbank Centre for its 10th year of chocolatey deliciousness. You can create your own chocolate bar, try chilli chocolate, learn how to stuff chocolate and much more. Free, just turn up.

MODEL RAILWAYS: The London Festival of Railway Modelling is choo choo-ing its way into Alexandra Palace this weekend. Over 100 exhibitors will be showing their product ranges  and there will also be modelling theatres, tips, advice and interactive acitivies for the kids. £11/£5, prebook or just turn up, starts 9.30am

TELEGRAPH HILL: It's the closing weekend of Telegraph Hill Festival with a cake competition, international food festival, wobbly chair workshop, Skate and Music event (SKAM), an Ark in the Park, Elizabethan Feast and much more. Lots free, book others here.

FILM: Last chance to see something at the 27th London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival which ends on Sunday, themed on Hearts, Bodies and Minds. It’s at BFI Southbank, check the website for films, times and tickets.

FREE FILM: And the first Camberwell Free Film Festival ends on Sunday too, watch London Transport films, be transported to Oz or aspire to be Best in Show. Check the website for details.

GET AWAY FROM IT ALL: Escape to the green spaces, wild places and countryside edges of London. While you're there, take a photo and submit it to our joint photo challenge with London Transport Museum. Read all about it here.

Saturday 23 March

LOOS: Take the Loo Tour of London (with a nod to World Water Day) and find out about the history and social importance of public toilets. Costs $25 (£17ish), prebook. Tours at 10am and 2pm

FUMBLE: through women's vintage clothing at the flash vintage jumble sale at the Rose and Crown in Walthamstow. Free entry and nothing over £50, open 10.30am-2pm

CLASSIC SCOOTERS: Hundreds of classic bikes are rolling into the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich today, which bike-lovers are free to go and admire. Free, just turn up, 12.30pm

RIVER RACE: The Head of the River race is rowed annually from Mortlake to Putney UPDATE: RACE CANCELLED DUE TO THE WEATHER.

PROMENADE THEATRE: Anatomize is an immersive, promenade performance around the Hunterian Museum of surgery, which brings to life (not literally) John Hunter’s grizzly collection of specimens. Free, just turn up, 2pm, 3pm or 4pm

WORDS: See Joe Dunthorne, Stuart Evers, Lane Ashfeldt and Hassan Blasim at Word Factory #8, The Society Club, Soho. Tickets £10 on the door, 6-8pm.

KICKBOXING: There are still tickets left for Glory 5 Kickboxing at ExCel where 22 fighters compete in 11 fights on one night. Tickets from £49.50, doors 6pm

INTERACTIVE ARTS: Loads of artists put their stuff on in The Electric House, Willesden before it gets demolished. Read the obscure blurb and line up here. Free entry, 6-9pm

LIGHTS OUT: Buildings along the Southbank and Regent Street are among many that will be going dim for WWF's Earth Hour at 8.30pm

ALL ABOARD: the vintage boat party with SS Atlantica. Tickets £20+bf, boat sets sail 9pm

Sunday 24 March

EXPLORE ELTHAM: Be a local tourist and take a free guided walk of Eltham Town Centre as well as Eltham Lodge, home to Royal Blackheath Golf Club. And lots more, look here.

FROGS: Head to the Centre for Wildlife Gardening today and learn all about frogs at this fun family event, with pond-dipping, face painting, arts and crafts, games and an educational area. There is tea and cake for grown-ups (and maybe well behaved children). Free, just turn up, 10am

SWABSQUAD: If you're aged 17-55 and are over 8 stone then you could be part of SwabSquad which is looking to find stem cell matches to save someone with Leukaemia's life at the Sternberg Centre, 80 East End Road, Finchley between 10am-4pm

ART DECO: Take a heritage tour of the beautiful Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley for just £2 per person from 10.45am until 1pm. Then watch the 1928 silent film Underground for £6 with a special introduction by Simon Murphy, Curator at the London Transport Museum at 2pm

EASTER MARKET: The Crafty Fox Market is doing an Easter special this weekend at The Dogstar in Brixton, where you can browse, chat and enjoy the live DJ. Each day the market sees a whole new host of designers setting up stall, and Sunday’s line-up looks great. Free, just turn up, 11am

MOOSIC: Help Spitalfields City Farm raise money to acquire two fantastic bovines by buying a ticket for the CowFest Moosic Festival - find out which bands are playing here. Suggested donation £5 a ticket, festival runs 12-6pm

WIENER LIBRARY: Ever been? We have, read this. They're open today for behind the scenes and archive tours. Entry is free (as always), the open day runs 1-4pm

19 PRINCELET STREET: is also open today between 2-4pm.

ANAESTHESIA: Find out about John Snow’s pioneering work on chloroform and ether, as medical historian Stephanie Snow explores the controversy that surrounded the development of anaesthetics. Free, prebook, 3pm

CABARET: Try an eclectic mix of classical, music theatre, jazz and comedy songs with Sunday Cabaret at the Round Table, St Martin's Lane. Tickets £4.75 in advance, £10 on the door, booking recommended. Doors, 7pm
