Limbo, the follow-up to 2012’s summer circus hit Cantina, comes to London in May with tickets going on general release today.

Sited beside the Udderbelly tent on the South Bank, The Priceless Wonderground goes up in a few months promising another season of big-top fun and frolics from world-class cabaret and circus acts. Last year, the marquee production was the Australian spectacular Cantina which saw a hardcore crew flip, strip and perilously cavort in a show definitely not for the kids.

This summer, we can look forward to its successor, Limbo. It will run, much like a short-lived love affair, from May to September. This adult show comes with an intriguing theme — “an exotic illogical world, where peculiar characters wait on the edge of false awakening” — which smacks of the loose Stranger In A Strange Land-style plot of recent Cirque du Soleil extravaganza Kooza. It features a mixture of disciplines including magic, music, sword-swallowing and acrobats aplenty.

Those looking for a circus fix sooner than May can wander around the Circus Space building on Sunday 3 March 2-4pm and hear how the Shoreditch Electric Power Station was converted into the National Circus School. Booking is essential and places are limited – get in touch with rachael@circusspace.co.uk to find out more and reserve your place.

Limbo is currently debuting at the Adelaide Fringe but will be landing in London on 7 May and will stick around until 29 September. Showtime is generally 7.15pm with 3pm Saturday matinees. Tickets are available from £10. You can call 0844 545 8282 to book tickets and grab more information on ticket availability, age restrictions and prices.
