Wellcome Collection is back with another corker of a late night event, mixing serious science with interactive art and intriguing stories and ideas with yodelling.
The Voice offers an opportunity to meet a talking parrot, build a replica vocal tract, be part of a live voice remix session and listen to radio in the dark. With activities themed around noises we make, you could experience a new site-specific work for voices as part of ‘Tra la la la la tra la la”, find out how we make the sounds of speech in “Over and out” or head for “Yodel-lay-hi-hooo” for, well, you know what.
This is a free event and you are welcome to drop in anytime. Tickets for talks will be available on the night and the bar will be open for the duration.
The Voice takes place on Friday 1 March from 7-11pm at Wellcome Collection, Euston Road, NW1 2BE.
