Monday 11 February
KIDS: Imagine Children's Festival begins at the Southbank Centre today with lots of free things in the programme. For example, today 7-10 year olds can take a tour round the Centre and create London Adventure poems. Check the website for more details.
Tuesday 12 February
SHROVE TUESDAY: Watch a Pancake Race! At Spitalfields, Houses of Parliament, Guildhall and Greenwich. Check out our round-up post.
Wednesday 13 February
LECTURE: Interested in international relations? Consider it as a social science at the LSE public lecture in the Hong Kong Theatre. Free, first come, first served, from 6.30pm.
Thursday 14 February
MORTAL: Young people respond to Wellcome Collection's free exhibition, Death: A Self-Portrait with a specially devised dramatic performance. Free, prebook your eticket. Runs 6.30-7.10pm (also on Sunday afternoon at 3pm).
LUST: Pile on the sauce exploring the City of Sin with South East London Folklore Society as author Catherine Arnold talks about London’s vices through the ages Upstairs at the Old King’s Head, off Borough High Street. Entry £2.50/£1.50 on Thursday 14 February from 8-10pm.
Friday 15 February
CONCERT: Chill out to chamber music with the lunchtime concert at St Martin in the Fields. Free, just turn up, 1pm.
FASHION: Celebrate the start of Forest Hill Fashion Week — which promises workshops, markets, upcycling, swaps, makeovers and a catwalk show between now and Tuesday - in the new Sylvan Post pub, Dartmouth Road, SE23 from 8pm till late.
MUSEUM LATES: Unwind after work with a spot of culture at the British Museum, Natural History Museum, V&A, National Gallery or National Portrait Gallery. Free, check websites for closing times and events.
Saturday 16 February
FURNITURE FUN: Take the kids to the Imagination Station at the V&A and create mini-furniture for fantasy rooms. Free, just turn up between 10am-5pm (all through half-term).
Sunday 17 February
VINTAGE: Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair opens its doors during London Fashion Week for top vintage shopping, styling and homeware at beautiful Old Finsbury Town Hall, Rosebery Avenue. Entry is £4, from 11am-5pm.
PANCAKES: Missed Shrove Tuesday? Head to Myatt's Fields Park SE5 for Flipping Fun, pancakes in the park. Free, just turn up between 2-4pm.
LGBT HISTORY: Hither Green Cinema presents The Celluloid Closet, a documentary showing how Hollywood has both reflected and defined how we think about homosexuality. Plus a fair before the screening with local LGBT groups. From 5pm (free), Tickets for film £5, screens from 6.30pm.
