Shout-Out for a Good Cause
How about toasting Robbie Burns at a slap up-meal, and supporting disaster relief at the same time? The Indian Ocean Disaster Relief [IODR] charity will host a combined fundraising event (with The Lord’s Taverners charity) a few days after Burns Night on 31 January. Expect Neeps & Tatties, an Address to the Haggis and live entertainment at the Grange City Hotel (the one near Tower Hill that has part of the Roman wall in its courtyard). Tickets are £70, with procedes going to the two charities. The IODR helps rehabilitate communities and orphans following natural and other disasters.
