Walk London's free weekend of Winter Wanders returns this weekend with 34 different led walks on offer. From 11 mile hikes to 2 hour jaunts, there's something for everyone, right across the capital. Here's a selection of short walks on offer this weekend:

Saturday 26 January

SOMEWHERE ELSE LONDON: Explore back streets and discover the world's foremost arts complex, London's best loved old theatre, a real London street market, a stunning bird's eye view of the capital (there's a lift), and buckets of character. Starts from Embankment tube at 10.30am.

OLD CAMDEN: It's not all about the market. Find canals, cafes, cobblestones, Catacombs, craftsmen's studios, street cred, NW1 literati, Industrial Age iron and brick, leafy terraces and crescents, antiques, artists, actors, and art deco in this two hour stroll starting from Camden Town station at 11am.

CITY HALL TO CANARY WHARF: Follow the Thames Path through London Docks, Wapping and Limehouse in the company of the Chairman of the River Thames Society. Learn loads and take in some great river views in this 3.3 mile walk. Starts 11am.

FROM THE ROMANS TO NORMAN FOSTER: Zip through 2,000 years of City of London history in the company of a City of London guide. Starts at City Hall, 2pm.

Sunday 27 January

BACK PASSAGES: Explore the City of London's hidden alleyways and courtyards and meet Dr Johnson's cat. Starts on the steps of St Paul's at 10.30am.

SUBTERRANEAN LONDON: What's underneath your feet? Find out on this walk, which includes the Cobra Room, secret tunnels, bomb shelters, crypts, lost rivers, trains and drains. Starts at Embankment at 10.30am.

LITTLE VENICE: Where exactly is it? Meet at Warwick Avenue tube by the Cabmen's shelter and your guide will take you through one of the prettiest and most romantic spots in town. Starts 2pm.

OLD WESTMINSTER: There's 1,000 years of history to get through on this two hour stroll round the most familiar and iconic buildings in London. Make sure you all those questions you've always felt you should know the answers to. Starts at Westminster station at 2.45pm.
