Olympic Stadium Will Host British Athletics Grand Prix

World class athletics will return to the Olympic stadium on the anniversary of the London 2012 Opening Ceremony with the British Athletics London Grand Prix.

The competition was due to take place over two days at Crystal Palace as usual, but will now be a one-dayer on 27 July, marking a year since the start of London 2012.

Doubtless a capacity crowd will snap up tickets hoping for another "Super Saturday" style performance from athletes including Mo Farah and Jessica Ennis.

This athletic move to the Olympic Stadium means the Mayor's London Cycling Festival - now known as RideLondon and scheduled for August - has been bumped from the honour of hosting the first post-Games sporting event on the Olympic Park.

If you want to be in the Olympic Stadium to watch on Saturday 27 July, register for priority ticketing here. NB. If you had already purchased tickets for the event at Crystal Palace you will get a full refund and priority booking for the Olympic Stadium event.
