Londonist Underground: Tube Fashion

Continuing our series of original art and photography inspired by London's subterranean realms.

Isher Dhiman imagines the Tube being converted into a venue for fashion parades...powered by mice!

My idea is to have a fashion show in the underground, with the models parading the platform through mini archways. The audience is in fact seated within the track area, where the tube would normally run. They're sat on a moving seating area that is geared my a team of mice. This shifts along from station to station, where the audience will experience a very 'moving' show as the models magically appear from within the walls of the underground. Imagine that you could get all this from a touch of an oyster card! A ride you would not want to miss!

Truly marvellous!

We've now reached the closing date for our competition, and the winning entries — which will go on show in the Bishopsgate Institute — will be announced next week. However, we'll keep the series running online, as we've received many excellent images yet to be published. Please feel free to send any further subterranean drawings, paintings or photos to matt@londonist.com. They don't have to be Tube-related...rivers, caverns, bunkers...anything underground in London.
