Top 5 Ticket Tips For The Book Of Mormon Musical

This is a sponsored post on behalf of the Book of Mormon.

The Book of Mormon was a sell out on Broadway for almost one year in advance. With most performances already sold out in London for the first couple of months, here are some useful top ticket tips.

Where can I get the best value tickets?
The generous folks at SEE Tickets are currently offering to pay the booking fees for their customers on The Book of Mormon tickets. But hurry this offer is only valid until 30 December.

How can I book for a weekend performance now? They appear to be sold out.
It is true that most weekend performances are already sold out up to June. However, as part of their Preferred Seating programme American Express card members do have access to additional seats. They also have priority access to extra seat releases, so it is definitely worth keeping an eye out on their alternative web booking link.

That’s all very well but I don’t have an Amex card and I don’t have time to scour the internet looking for seats.
In which case the best thing to do is sign up on The Book of Mormon website to receive latest news or ‘like’ the show on Facebook. You might even get to see the show free as a guest at a sneak preview or fan performance. Currently up for grabs are 20 pairs of free tickets for an invitation only dress rehearsal meaning you get to see the show before anyone in the UK. Now that would be priceless!

I am on a limited budget and really want to see the show. What do I do?
First of all, check out TheatreMonkey for real customer feedback on the best seat choices in the lower price bands at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Alternatively, if you can get to the theatre on the day of the performance you can enter the daily lottery for 21 front row seats at £20 each. Applications are accepted 2 1/2 hours prior to the performance and drawn half an hour later. So, for a 7.30pm show turn up at 5pm and for the 2.30pm matinee make sure you are there by noon. And don’t forget to bring photo ID. To get into training for the lottery check out these handy videos of the Broadway lottery in action.

Any other money saving tips?
You don’t have to be a member of the Women’s Institute or arrive in a coach to come as a group. Simply find nine other friends and not only can you save £18.50 per ticket (a £67.50 ticket costs £49) but you also avoid paying the £2 booking fee. Find out more here.

Finally, with tickets selling for up to $900 dollars a pair on Broadway, if you are from New York why not just get a cheap flight and see the show in London. Not only could it cost you less but thanks to the Londonist you’ll get to know our capital city like a Londoner.
