The season of indulgent markets – Christmas or otherwise – is in full swing and one of the best places to hang out and get your foodie fix will be Eat Me Up, taking place at Old Street’s Red Market from tonight and running til Saturday (6-8 December).
With 30 of the best London Street Food chefs, most of whom are already well known (and loved) members of Kerb (formerly Eat St.) and Street Feast, making an appearance over the course of the event, highlights include delightfully addictive meatballs courtesy of The Bowler, Spit and Roast’s mouth-watering chicken and monstrously gorgeous cupcakes from Kooky Bakes.
If you think you can fit into people clothes after all that, you can frantically shop (which burns calories, right guys? Right?) from an array of stalls, including some lush lingerie by Miss Crofton, Demise of Diamonds and Burtonwode for the guys.
There’ll be promotions aplenty and from 8pm tonight (6 December) Big Beat Manifesto, a huge brass band, will be performing. Booze, burgers, balls, bargains and brass. What’s not to love? Besides the cold, obviously.
