Club Watch: New Year's Day 2013 Special

Still going? Those putting their New Year's resolutions on hold will find a solid month's worth of line-ups to tempt weary legs back onto the dancefloor.

Hot Creations present NYD @ Pulse
When people call Hot Creations reliable, they don't mean in a workmanlike Scott Parker/Volvo V40 kind of way. They mean that a night with Jamie Jones' label guarantees infectious house and sleazy electro fun. The label chief heads a line up of Hot talent, Lee Foss among them. Innervisions founder Dixon flies in from Berlin, hopefully bringing some supreme disco edits in his overhead luggage. Info here.

Circo Loco New Year's Day Party @ Brixton Academy
The poster for this event looks like some open mic night from some seventh layer of Hell - luckily the music is a whole lot better. Seth Troxler, AKA Resident Advisor's #1 Dj of 2012 starts his campaign for the new year early with his colourful house jams. We like mentioning Hot Natured's Maceo Plex, as it is gives us another excuse to play his epic house weepie "Under The Sheets". Shaun Reeves' slinky techno completes this bulging lineup. Info here.

Bugged Out New Years Day at XOYO
While bootlegs are no longer a novelty, there's something undeniably enjoyable about 2manydjs ability to mash pop, dance and r'n'b into new forms. Though he seemed to spend most of 2012 hanging out with Bryan Ferry Todd Terje is kind enough to be in town tonight, expect plenty of good day sunshine vibes. Looking ahead, the much hyped Daniel Avery will be showing why he's a name to remember for the new year. Info here.

NofitState NYD Party @ The Great Suffolk St Warehouse
House? Techno? When it comes to choosing between dance's two parties, swing voters would do best heading down to Nofitstate's killer tech-house lineup. A dance act needs something special to release a live record yet Âme's "Live" is up there with Kraftwerk's "Minimum-Maximum" and Daft Punk's "Alive" — come see the magic in the flesh. Apart from their silly name, Thugfucker are best known for their delerious number  "Disco Gnome", which got even better after Tale of Us remixed it. Conveniently, both are here tonight — who know's maybe they'll play it? Info here.

Electric Minds NYD Party @ Peckham Palais
Finally The Hydra brings a lineup so monstrous it could almost be worth skipping New Year's Eve for. New York's Levon Vincent celebrates a year that brought a defining Fabric mix with a set of his leftfield house excursions. Representing the UK, Mosca will be bringing some of his classy garage swing. An Aus showcase in room two sees label chief Will Saul, bass exploits from George FitzGerald and the precision tooled house of Midland. Berlin's Shed sees things out with tracks from new album "The Killer", an apt title for such remorselessly lethal techno. Info here.
