We've all seen works of art and some interactive exhibitions require feeling or listening to a piece, but how many of us have smelled art? Gorilla Perfumes's latest exhibition is all about exposing visitors to scents that don't simply smell nice but are powerful and evocative.

Yes, they make and sell fragrances but it would be wrong to mistake this collective for your average parfumier. Previous projects have included blowing up cars filled with incense to creating a stone circle where each stone is marked with a unique scent.

This exhibition will inaugurate their new gallery space and will be laid out as a set of installations that will encourage visitor interaction. Manufacturing fragrances is not usually considered alongside mainstream visual art but with this display, Gorilla Perfumes is trying to bridge the gap.

Voice of Reason: Exhibition of Olfactory Works is on display at Red Gallery, 1-3 Rivington St, EC2A 3DT from December 8-23. Admission is free.
