Get your elasticated waistbands at the ready, as London's restaurants are once again celebrating Thanksgiving with suitably hefty menus. On Thursday 22 November you can get your fix of turkey, pumpkin pie and indigestion at a range of venues: check out this selection for starters.
Butchers' Hall, Smithfield. Benjamin Franklin House's annual feast features a traditional Thankgiving menu served in the grand Butchers' Hall. The turkeys are, unsurprisingly given the location, both huge and delicious, and all proceeds go towards maintaining the historic house. Tickets are £68.
Ffiona's, Kensington. £39.50 gets you a three course meal, with lots of delicious starter and pudding options to choose from.
Bea's of Bloomsbury, Bermondsey. The bakery is hosting a series of Thanksgiving meals from Thursday to Sunday, at each of which they get into the American spirit by serving 'until you say stop'. Tickets are £50, or £70 with unlimited drinks, and available from their website.
The Blues Kitchen, Camden. Starting at 5pm, this celebration combines Thanksgiving food with great music from Regent Sounds DJs and live bands. The music kicks off at 9pm, and you can make reservations by calling 020 7387 5277.
The Hilton London Olympia, Kensington High Street. For £25, or £12.50 for children under 12, diners can enjoy a three course meal that includes butternut squash soup with brie, turkey and pumpkin pie.
Jetlag Bar, Warren Street. Alongside their Thanksgiving menu (£30) the bar offers a day-long programme of American entertainment, including NFL games, a film screening and live music. See their website for full details.
CUT, 45 Park Lane. Start Thanksgiving dinner in style with a cranberry and pomegranate cocktail, before feasting on turkey with all the trimmings. Pudding comes in the form of cute seasonal pie sliders. Dinner is priced at £85, or you can pop into Bar 45 all this week to sample the Thanksgiving cocktail and sliders.
Le Caprice, Piccadilly. Although the restaurant's Thanksgiving menu is quite small, it does allow you the unusual option of choosing how many courses you want. Perfect for those with smaller appetites, or anyone who isn't feeling particularly thankful..
The Big Easy, Chelsea. This popular BBQ venue offers a traditional three course meal for £24.50, alongside tempting Thanksgiving cocktails such as Big Easy Egg Nog and pumpkin martinis.
The Eastway, Liverpool Street. This New York-style brasserie at the Andaz hotel is offering a Thanksgiving roast for groups of up to 8 people. Perfect if you're planning a last minute party!
