Victoria Park Voted Nation's Favourite

We don't know if it was the use of Vicky Park as a place to watch all the action during the London 2012 Olympic Games; the new play equipment; the concerts; the new community cafe; the reintroduction of the Chinese Pagoda; the new skate park; or the restored historic monuments... Whatever it was, Victoria Park has caught the public's imagination this year, and been voted the nation's favourite park.

More than 7,000 people voted, and Victoria Park came out on top, beating 1,424 parks and green spaces to the People's Choice Award. The survey was conducted by Keep Britain Tidy’s Green Flag Plus Partnership.

I love that there are no "No Cycling" signs anywhere. Or "Cyclists dismount"! A park for the people, how it should be. Was there only yesterday, beautiful colours of the autumn!

I visited the park quite a bit of the summer, it has a diverse crowd and different parts; vibrant areas, quiet areas so appeals to the masses. Really nice you can walk along the Regents Canal and then relax in the park, perfect for a lazy Sunday!
