Random London Fact Of The Day

Can you name the film in which Tony Robinson (of Time Team and Blackadder fame) is pushed into the London Docks by John Wayne? It's true. In the 1975 film Brannigan, the ageing legend plays a Chicago cop on a mission to London. The fresh-faced Robinson plays a hapless bike courier, who finds himself caught in a ransom transaction. The two meet on a London dockside, where Wayne shoves the Hawtrey-like courier into the brine. The film is also notable for a car chase that ends in Wayne jumping the bascules of Tower Bridge, and a decidedly hammy turn by Richard Attenborough.

Weather

To compile today's weather report, we time travelled a few hours into the future, to listen in on your work colleagues. Here's what they'll say:

9.30am: "Yuck, I really must buy a brolly."
11.53am: "Is it still raining out? I'm staaarving, but I don't want to get wet."
2.15pm: "Ha, sunshine. You never know where you are with the London weather."
5.30pm: (Returning from fag break) "Bloody hell, it's cold out there."
