Theatre Preview: Carbon Dating @ Brockley Jack Studio

Whether it’s cringing in the memory of, or laughing at the pains of others' first dating disasters, this new comedy from award winning Australian writer Ron Elisha, offers a great premise. Carbon dating, like Jim Cartwright's brilliant pub tragi-comedy Two, pulls back the curtains on the hidden world and interior dramas of couples but this time follows the first date mishaps of twelve duos in their search for love.

Produced by Outfox, the team behind West End's Spring Awakening, it's worth the trek south London for those for whom SE4 is the other side of the Siberian jungle, and for those in the vicinity there's no excuse to miss it.

Just don't go with a date, presumably, unless you're after a novel way to break the ice.

Carbon Dating is at Brockley Jack Studio Theatre, SE4 2DH from 13 November to 1 December. Performances Tuesday - Saturday at 8pm. Tickets: £13, £10 concessions.
