This is a bit misleading. It reverts back to £14 a month in the new year. So you’re effectively paying ~47p a day with this offer vs. the ~46p a day you’d pay under the monthly scheme

Hi Andrew – I’ve rephrased the very last sentence – sorry for any confusion. £25 is the membership fee for the first full year, then it reverts to £14/month. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Hi Andrew – I’ve rephrased the very last sentence – sorry for any confusion. £25 is the membership fee for the first full year. You then have the option to continue at normal membership of £14/month if you wish. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Also, thinking about it further. Posting something like this with the misleading comment, “Londonist readers can make a huge saving by joining for just £25 for a whole year,” is really poor form on the part of the Londonist. I acknowledge this is a sponsored post, but it undermines the Londonists’ credibility.

Andrew – the offer for £25 a year is exactly that – so it works out at just 6.8p per day. Slightly poorly phrased perhaps – sorry! – but the ‘reverting back to £14 a month’ just means that when the offer runs out that is what the normal membership costs. I hope that clears it up and sorry for any confusion.
