Are you enjoying the festive spirit or are you already sick of garish Christmas decorations everywhere you go? If it's the latter or if you're feeling a darker Christmas spirit coming on, then Signal Gallery may have the antidote that you're after.

Its latest exhibition is a collection of quirky and often macabre art, all with a Christmassy tone but none of the festive cheer that goes along with it. Curating this show will be Gaye Black, one of the founding members of the 70's punk band The Adverts, who has now turned her hand to art. It's a perfect match as both punk and this exhibition look to flip over societal norms.

The artists roster consists of musicians, edgy artists and exhibitors who have displayed at the gallery before. It promises not to take itself too seriously and display some enjoyable works that take the Christmas theme off on a dark tangent.

Black Xmas - Curated by Gaye Black is on at the Signal Gallery, 32 Paul St, EC2A 4LB from 29 November - 21 December. Admission is free.
