Ticket Alert: Of Monsters And Men, Joy Formidable And More

If you want to fill the dark evenings with a warm gig or two, here’s our pick of what’s on sale this week. Tickets to all these should be available from 9am Friday.

Icelandic six piece Of Monsters and Men (pictured) are making real waves with their honest, folky, foot-stomping sound. Catchy and enthusiastic, they’ve announced a third night at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 7 March. Tickets £16 + bf.

Welsh alt-rockers Joy Formidable tend to think big for their live shows, often managing to squeeze a giant gong on stage and indulging in the odd bout of theatrical instrument smashing. Catch them at KCLSU on 29 October. Tickets £15 + bf.

Punk rock legends The Stranglers are still going strong, umpteen albums and tours later. If you’ve not had the pleasure, head for The Roundhouse on 15 March next year. Tickets £26 + bf.

You already know what to expect from the Kerrang! Tour before you even see the line-up. It’ll be heavy, and it’ll be loud. Black Veil Brides headline at O2 Academy Brixton on 15 February. Tickets £17.50 + bf.

Also booking this week: Little Noise Sessions (featuring Richard Hawley, The Maccabees and Noah and the Whale), Glasvegas and Leona Lewis.
