Here’s our pick of gigs on sale this week. Tickets to all these should be available from around 9am on Friday.
Biffy Clyro’s long ascendancy has seen them play every conceivable type of venue in more than 15 years together. The big-hearted Scottish rockers have barely put a foot wrong in that time, and now they’ve announced their biggest tour yet. See them at The O2 on 3 April. Tickets £29.50 + bf.
Emeli Sandé (pictured) had a pretty good summer, what with performing at the Olympic Opening and Closing ceremonies. How do you follow that? With a gig at HMV Apollo Hammersmith on 8 April. Tickets £29.50 + bf.
“We’re gonna finish 2012 in style with a mega line up of beats, bass n noise,” reckon The Prodigy, who bring their full throttle live act to O2 Academy Brixton for a pre-Christmas shindig on 18 and 19 December. Tickets £45 + bf.
Moving into 2013 but staying at O2 Academy Brixton, and 20 February will see longstanding Californian rockers Deftones bring their new album tour to south London. Tickets £28.50 + bf.
Finally, in a highly-appropriate bit of booking, Villagers will play Village Underground on 20 February. The Irish band were Mercury-nominated in 2010 and have a distinctive, sometimes wistful sound. Tickets £15.75 + bf.
