- Participate in the Serpentine Gallery's Memory Marathon (tickets from £10 a day).
- Brides-to-be: the Vintage Wedding Dress company is having a trunk sale.
- Drinkers can head to Wallington Beer & Cider Festival in Wallington Hall.
- Need a laugh? Get down to the London Irish Comedy Festival at the London Irish Centre in Camden (tickets from £6, £50 for a weekend pass).
- The UK B-Boy Championships are in town with the Knock Out Jam in Islington on Saturday (tickets £15) and the World Finals in Brixton on Sunday (tickets £24.50).
- See Glee and musical theatre star Indina Menzel sing at the Apollo Theatre (tickets from £25).
- There's a cheese and wine festival at the Southbank Centre including tutored tastings and the Cheese Feast (free entry, check individual event ticketing).
- The Brick Loft pops up on Rivington Street in Shoreditch for 3 days of vintage homeware purveyerage.
Saturday:
- Get round four free guided walks in the City, Greenwich, Westminster and Clerkwell & Islington themed on Heroes and Villains from 10am-4pm (free).
- Celebrate everything "appley" at Vestry House Museum and Gardens, Walthamstow from 11am-4pm (donation £1 for adults).
- It's World Zombie Day so watch out for the undead on a huge pub crawl from 1pm.
- Rifle through the a sample and jumble sale at St Alfeges church, Greenwich raising money for St Thomas' Neonatal ward from 1-4pm (free entry).
- It's the final day of the City Showcase music festival across London promoting new artists — the mixed bill afternoon at The Phoenix, Cavendish Square sounds sociable and is free entry, as are Apple Store Regent's Street gigs (otherwise £5/£6 on the door).
- Registration to participate in the 6th UK Rock Paper Scissors Championships closes Thursday at 7pm (from £12.50, group price available) — the event takes place on Saturday from 6.30pm at the Penderel's Oak, High Holborn.
- Spend an Evening with Bond Girl, Eunice Gayson at the Cinema Museum, Kennington from 7.30pm (tickets £10).
- Experience Arabian Dance Theatre with Be Here Now at Bernie Grant Arts Centre, Tottenham at 8pm (ticket £15, £7 kids).
- Watch Avant Garde dance perform The Black Album - new dance works presented as a concept album at The Place, NW1 (tickets £15).
Sunday:
- Help clear up a very unusual habitat for London: Farm bog on Wimbledon Common from 10am-1pm (free).
- It's right vintage Sunday: shop retro at the Vintage fashion fair at Hammersmith Town Hall from 10am-5pm (£5 entry, £10 for 8-10am early in) or at Cecil Sharp House, Primrose Hill from 11am-5pm (£3 in).
- You can also ferret for vintage furniture and design classics at the Midcentury Show at Lord's, St John's Wood from 10am-4pm (£7 entry).
- Visit Ham House today for a special Home Grown at Ham foodie event (normal admission applies).
- Mark the end of Chocolate Week with the special Kids Company fundraising matinee of Chocopera in the Culford Room, Cadogan Hall and discover improvised comedy entertainment while consuming delicious chocolate from 3-4pm (tickets £15).
