Things To Do In London On The Cheap: 8-14 October

Monday: Learn about the Ghost Project at a Secret Chiefs meeting in the Devereux pub off the Strand — talk from 8.30pm (£2 entry).

Tuesday: Forage for wild mushrooms, big pumkins and Wisley cider at the RHS London Harvest Festival late at Lindley Hall, Greycoat Street and Vincent Square SW1P 2PE from 6-9pm (tickets £5).

Wednesday: Enjoy live music in the basement bar at the Strongroom Sessions from 8pm (free entry).

Thursday: Go behind the scenes at the Wiener Library with a lecture about genocide from 6.30pm (free).

Friday: Consider Shakespeare, power and leadership at the British Museum lecture from 6.30pm (£5).

Saturday: Explore a bit of London you haven't before: our local guiding organisations are running four walks throughout the day in the City, Westminster, Greewnwich and Clerkenwell (various times, check the poster — free).

Sunday: Ever wondered what composer Delius was about? Find out during Ealing Autumn Festival with a screening of Discovering Delius at Ealing Town Hall at 1.30pm (£5).
