Things To Do In London On The Cheap: 29 October - 4 November

Things to do for a fiver or less this week.


Monday: Play Butchery Bingo which means interactive team games and spot questions as well as a bit of bingo at the Shoreditch Butchery, Cowper Street from 7pm. Call to book your table 020 7354 9993 (£3 p/p).

Tuesday: RIBA's Last Tuesday is about City Stories with films, talks, exhibitions and some sketching at 66 Portland Place from 6-10pm (free).

Wednesday: Halloween: watch comedy horror films at the Water Poet (£4), go to the Bones and McGibbor’s Funeral Parlour at the Book Club (£5), find out about witches and lizards at the Grant Museum (£5 inc glass of wine) or stay home with a bowl of sweets and entertain yourself with trick or treaters (or print off this poster to keep them away.)

If you're ignoring Halloween, the Science Museum Late is about other kinds of spirits from 6.45-10pm (free).

Thursday: Watch a screening of Barnet documentary The Billion Pound Gamble at Cafe Buzz, High Road, North Finchley at 6.30pm (free).

Friday: Take a lunchtime talk at the Royal Society and hear Ross McFarlane talk about Henry Wellcome and his Collection at 1pm (free).

Saturday: Nose around veteran and futuristic cars at the Regent Street Motor Show from 10.30am-4pm.

Join Rainton's Pageant - a procession from Enfield Town to Forty Hall Estate followed by a "festival of fire and light" between 5-8pm (free).

Sunday: Drop in on day two of the Barbican Weekender for lots of digital fun (free & on Saturday too).
