Shepard Fairey is a street artist who originally became known for his Andre the Giant posters in many cities across the USA. But his career went truly stratospheric with the design of the Obama Hope poster.
This is only Fairey's second London exhibition with his previous being five years ago, so there's a lot of anticipation surrounding this show. It's called Sound and Vision and explores how these media interact to evoke an emotional response in the viewer. It will feature over 80 artworks and the accompanying music will be from Fairey's personal collection. Expect social and political commentary aplenty.
Fairey's name should be sufficient to draw a significant audience and they'll be able to witness for themselves whether he's created another iconic artwork.
Shepard Fairey: Sound and Vision is on display at the Old Truman Brewery from 19 October to 4 November. Admission is free.
