There are many exhibitions that claim to be displaying the UK's most exciting artists, but when one of these shows is backed by big names such as Channel 4 and the Saatchi Gallery, it's usually a sign to sit up and take notice.

New Sensations and The Future Can Wait are two separate exhibitions but they have teamed up to present the works of over 50 artists working in media ranging from painting to video. They've taken over the cavernous space available in Victoria House to display who they consider to be rising stars in art – works by the finalists and shortlisted artists of New Sensations will be  on view.

The UK is full of hundreds of talented young artists and this will be an opportunity to see some of their works and make your own decision about which artists deserve to be the winners.

New Sensations 2012 and The Future Can Wait are on display at B1, Victoria House, Bloomsbury Square, WC1B 4DA from 9-15 October. Admission is free.
