For the first time, the Royal Horticultural Society’s London Harvest Festival Show will open late with all sorts of seasonal jollities laid on in their Horticultural Halls to celebrate.
Browse, taste and buy the best of the UK’s autumn bounty, find out about different ways to grow crops and learn how to identify apples. Admire the winners of the Heaviest Pumpkin Competition before you go and carve one of your own. Listen to forager stories from Yun Hider and find out about wild mushrooms from Mrs Tee. Drink RHS Wisley cider or try a veggie cocktail at the mixologist hands of the Midnight Apothecary.
The London Vegetable Orchestra will perform — get there for 5pm if you want to see them make their instruments ahead of the gig. There will also be dreamy folk music from Robin Grey and his band.
This night of mellow fruitfulness is just £5 to enjoy. Buy your tickets now.
London Harvest Festival Late is at RHS Lindley Hall, Greycoat Street and Vincent Square SW1P 2PE on Tuesday 9 October from 6-9pm.
