Things To Do In London At The Weekend: 28-30 September

Sunday:

  • Cheer on the Big Gay 10k (run it, walk it, mince it) then head for the Big Gay Village Fete in Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens from midday (free entry).
  • Join the London Circle Walk from 10am (free).
  • The London Pearly Kings & Queens Harvest Festival celebration takes place in Guildhall Yard from 1pm before a parade down to St Mary-le-Bow Church for the annual service at 3.00pm (free).
  • Shop at the Frock Me Kensington Extravaganza over three floors at Kensington Town Hall from 10am-5pm (entry £4/£2 NUS).
  • Back east, the Affordable Vintage Fair returns to York Hall, Bethnal Green from 12-5pm (£2 in).
  • Participate in Pink Aerobics in Hyde Park between 1-4pm and raise money for breast cancer charities (entry £17).
  • Help launch the East London River of Flowers – a stream of urban meadows for bees and butterflies from Hackney to Tower Hamlets – starting from the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden, 3pm onwards (free entry/donations).
  • The Big Mix festival brings music, comedy and cabaret to four venues in Shoreditch all in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support from 2pm till late (£15 for a wristband).

If you love photography but lack confidence or technical know-how, David's next two day London street photography workshop takes place this weekend, 29-30 September around Shoreditch.
