The Macallan Photo Competition: The Last Word

This is a sponsored post on behalf of The Macallan.

Enter The Macallan Masters of Photography competition and you could win photographic equipment, photography tours and more.

Inspired by a shoot with master of photography, Annie Leibovitz, The Last Word project aims to collect a million stories through images. All you need to do is submit a portrait photograph and tag it with a key word which encapsulates the personality (or personalities) in the picture.

We spent ages trying to decide who to shoot and what word to use. We knew we wanted our portrait to be London focused but we couldn't agree on which dazzling London skyline, or which recognisable London character to use to model for us. In the end, our photographer suggested we keep it simple - we would take a portrait of Londonist editors Matt and Lindsey somewhere close to our hearts. So here we are, on the roof of Londonist Towers in Shoreditch mid-way through our working day. By odd coincidence, we even managed to coordinate our clothes this day.

The closing date is 23 October. Browse entries and vote for your favourites at www.themastersofphotography.com. Like The Macallan on Facebook or follow them on Twitter for competition updates.

Many thanks to our photographer, Jose Farinha.
