Broadgate Circle, that unlikely and self-appointed leisure centre, unveils its latest temporary attraction this Friday (21 September) in the shape of a beach volleyball tournament. The event was announced some time ago, but it sounds like they still have space for teams. Squads of 6-12 competitors can sign up to participate, but you’ll need to pledge at least £2,500 to Action For Kids, the charity behind the event. The action takes place all day, with Team GB appearances from 4pm to 7pm.
You’ll get two hours of training with a qualified Volleyball England coach, plus at least three games. A sitting volleyball tournament will also take place in nearby Finsbury Avenue Square, and demos and taster sessions of the sports will take place throughout the Broadgate complex over the following week.
