Although it’s Bizet’s opera that most will be familiar with the project has revisted the novella by Mérimée where Carmen’s story was first told, taking a new adaptation as its starting point.
Companies from France, Georgia, Romania and the UK have re-imagined the story through different art forms; radio drama, performance art focused on the use of social media (OMG), choreo-drama, stage play and interactive audio drama.
