Preview: A Date With Carmen @ Chelsea Theatre

Five new multilingual interpretations of the story of Carmen will showcase at Chelsea Theatre this weekend.

Although it's Bizet's opera that most will be familiar with the project has revisted the novella by Mérimée where Carmen's story was first told, taking a new adaptation as its starting point.

Companies from France, Georgia, Romania and the UK have re-imagined the story through different art forms; radio drama, performance art focused on the use of social media (OMG), choreo-drama, stage play and interactive audio drama.

Love Carmen? Watch the whole lot for £20. All events will be followed by post-show discussions with the creators and performers.
